Filwood Green
Kensington Blinds contributed to the sustainability-focused Filwood Green Business Park in Bristol, a hub designed to support small startups and local entrepreneurs. Built to high environmental standards and awarded a BREEAM Outstanding rating, Filwood Green incorporates eco-friendly features such as sedum roofs, solar panels and recycled furniture.
Kensington Blinds was commissioned to install both manual and electric roller blinds, aligning with the park’s commitment to sustainability by using environmentally friendly materials.
The blinds selected for Filwood Green were manufactured from eco-conscious fabrics, reflecting the building’s green ethos and high environmental standards. The manual roller blinds offer a simple, low-energy solution for light control, while the electric blinds add convenience, allowing occupants to manage sunlight and temperature efficiently. These installations help reduce solar gain, contributing to the building's passive climate control and minimizing reliance on artificial cooling systems.
This project showcases sustainable window treatments that match the aesthetic and environmental values of eco-conscious buildings. The blinds at Filwood Green not only enhance comfort and usability for occupants but also align with the business park’s goal of creating an inspiring, low-impact workspace for local entrepreneurs. The installation illustrates how thoughtful blind choices can support both energy efficiency and the long-term sustainability goals of green-certified buildings.
