Oxford Outdoor Living

oxford outdoor living area case study

Angus, our client, owned a property with a beautiful garden near Oxford.

He had already created an outdoor kitchen and living area complete with dining table, sofas and a kitchen area to enjoy his garden.

The outdoor living area had a large pergola installed over it to provide shelter from the weather, but since it was open on both sides the wind and rain could still enter.

To remedy this he contacted Kensington Blinds, looking for a flexible solution to keep the weather out, but which could be rolled out the way when the sun was shining.

We installed a 5.6m wide exterior roller blind to solve his problem. Operated by remote control, the blind provides weather shelter and privacy at the touch of a button. It blends seamlessly with the existing pergola and when rolled up is almost invisible.

The open screen fabric still allows light and visibility through it, preserving the view of the garden.

Angus now has a outdoor living area he can use throughout the year while enjoying being outside in his garden. He was delighted with the quality of the installation, commenting – ‘All too often it is easy to complain about service or product, but I was super impressed by the installation engineer’s perseverance and your back up with information to help.’

The blind will also provide shade in the summer, reflecting heat and helping to keep the area cool.
