Warminster Sports Centre

Warminster Sports Centre recently underwent an extensive renovation, transforming the facility into a modern, welcoming space for the local community. The upgrade includes a state-of-the-art fitness suite with a gym and dance studio, a versatile events area for classes and functions, and fully refurbished changing rooms.

As part of the enhancement, Kensington Systems installed an 8-metre-long curtain across a window in the events space to provide room darkening and significantly improve acoustics. The use of curtains in commercial and public environments is becoming increasingly popular—not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for their practical benefits. In large open areas with hard flooring, like those often found in modern offices, sports and community centres, sound can echo and create an uncomfortable environment. Curtains offer an elegant solution, helping to absorb sound and manage light levels, while adding a soft, tactile element to the overall design.
