The Hive in Worcester, an architectural marvel designed to resemble a beehive, stands out with its stunning metallic cladding. This unique structure is the world's first combined university and public library, serving both the students and researchers of the University of Worcestershire and the general public.

Housing over a quarter of a million books and 12 miles of archive collections, The Hive has become a central hub for education, study, research, culture, and business support. Its innovative design and comprehensive resources make it a pivotal institution in the region.

The large floor-to-ceiling windows of The Hive flood the interior with natural light, creating an inviting atmosphere for its users. However, this design feature also necessitated robust light control solutions to maintain a comfortable environment. Kensington Blinds rose to the challenge by installing motorized screen blinds throughout the building.

These blinds, operable via remote control or wall switch, allow for precise light management. The luxurious screen fabric used in the blinds not only mitigates glare, creating an optimal environment for study and research, but also preserves the influx of natural light, ensuring the interior remains bright and welcoming. This thoughtful integration of functionality and comfort underscores The Hive's commitment to providing an exceptional space for learning and community engagement.
