Calista Pergola at FutureScape 2026 | Kensington Blinds

A successful debut for our luxury bespoke pergola at the UK's leading landscaping exhibition.

Kensington Blinds was delighted to exhibit at FutureScape 2026, held on 13th and 14th October at the Farnborough International Exhibition & Conference Centre. The event marked an exciting milestone for us as we showcased our premium Calista pergola at FutureScape for the very first time.

With the exhibition moving from ExCeL London to its new Farnborough venue, FutureScape brought together leading garden designers, landscape architects, landscapers and industry professionals for two days of inspiration, innovation and networking.

For Kensington Blinds, it proved to be an outstanding event, with the Calista generating considerable attention, enthusiastic feedback and some exciting conversations about the future of luxury outdoor living.

A Fresh Alternative to Traditional Louvred Pergolas

One of the most interesting themes to emerge from our conversations with garden designers was the growing demand for alternatives to conventional louvred pergolas.

While louvred systems have become a familiar feature in contemporary garden design, they don't always deliver the light, openness or weather protection that clients are hoping for. Even with the louvres open, their overhead structure can create a darker environment, while some systems can be prone to water ingress during wet weather.

The Calista pergola offers a refreshing alternative

With its elegant glass roof, beautifully engineered structure and extensive range of optional enclosures, Calista creates a space that feels open, bright and connected to the garden, while providing a luxurious, sheltered environment.

This was one of the features that particularly impressed visitors to our stand. Garden designers appreciated the sense of openness beneath the glass roof, together with the warm, inviting atmosphere created by the integrated lighting and carefully considered enclosure options.

Rather than simply providing somewhere to sit outdoors, Calista offers the opportunity to create a genuine extension of the home and living space.

Bespoke design without compromise

A major attraction of the Calista pergola is its exceptional versatility.

Every Calista installation is designed around the individual project, giving garden designers and homeowners the freedom to create something truly distinctive.

From bespoke dimensions and custom colours to a choice of glass or solid timber side walls, sliding glass panels, roof blinds and vertical external screens, the possibilities for personalisation are almost limitless.

Integrated, dimmable LED lighting adds another dimension, allowing the atmosphere to be transformed from a bright, welcoming daytime retreat into a beautifully illuminated space for evening entertaining.

For added convenience, the various automated elements can be operated via remote control, smartphone app or integrated into a compatible smart home system.

The result is a premium outdoor living environment tailored to the client's property, lifestyle and design preferences.

Creating beautiful outdoor spaces for year-round enjoyment

As homeowners increasingly look to make better use of their gardens, outdoor living structures are becoming an important consideration in high-end landscape design.

Today's discerning clients often want more than a patio or seating area. They're looking for comfortable, versatile spaces where they can entertain guests, relax with family or simply enjoy their garden throughout the changing seasons.

Calista responds beautifully to this demand.

Its combination of a glass roof, optional sliding glass panels, solid walls and adjustable screen blinds enables designers to create a sheltered space that still maintains a strong visual connection with the surrounding garden.

Whether incorporated into a contemporary architectural scheme or positioned within a more traditional landscape, the Calista can be configured to complement its surroundings rather than dictate the design.

An enthusiastic reception from the landscaping industry

The overwhelmingly positive response we received at FutureScape was particularly encouraging.

We enjoyed meeting garden designers and landscaping professionals who were genuinely excited by the possibilities Calista could offer their clients.

Many were looking for something beyond the increasingly familiar louvred pergola, and the Calista's combination of architectural elegance, natural light, premium finishes and extraordinary flexibility clearly struck a chord.

The exhibition also provided an excellent opportunity to demonstrate how Kensington Blinds can work alongside landscape professionals to deliver sophisticated outdoor living solutions within bespoke garden projects.

Looking ahead

Our first FutureScape exhibition was a tremendous success, and we'd like to thank everyone who visited us, explored the Calista pergola and shared their enthusiasm.

We're looking forward to developing the many new relationships established at the show and helping garden designers, landscapers and homeowners bring their outdoor living ambitions to life.
